Fayette County man arrested after officers found drugs during traffic stop

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) – A man was arrested in Fayette County on Sunday after police found various amounts of drugs in his vehicle, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Phillip R. Brandsetter, 36, of Danese, was charged with possession with intent to deliver after police found various amounts of methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl in his car during a search just before noon.

Officers say Brandsetter was initially pulled over for a minor traffic violation before probable cause was determined to search the vehicle.

Brandsetter is currently in custody awaiting arraignment.
