According to his bond, he was not allowed into New Hampshire for any reason other than a court hearing or an appointment with his attorney, a detective wrote in an affidavit. Ortega was accused of calling police and letting them know he was at the Rite Aid on North State Street. Two investigators and an officer spoke to him and asked him what he was doing in the city. Ortega said he received some documents from his previous home and contacted police the day before, where he learned what a civilian riot police force was, according to a report. A detective asked about the conditions of his bail, and Ortega said he had to stay 300 feet (90 meters) away from his ex, the report said. When asked if he was supposed to be in New Hampshire, Ortega “repeated that he had called Concord police the day before today and asked if he could come to pick up his belongings,” the affidavit states. He was arrested for breaching bail and placed in preventive detention.
