Police: A woman’s car was wrecked in Wyoming County

FALL TOWNSHIP, WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – According to Tunkhannock Township Police, a woman’s car was vandalized Sunday.

On May 12, the Tunkhannock Township Police Department said in a Facebook post that it was called about a report of criminal mischief around 10:25 p.m.

According to police, the victim, a 62-year-old woman, was traveling on Dickinson Road in Falls Township shortly after 12 p.m. when she suffered a flat tire.

The victim said they continued driving slowly on Dickinson Road to find a safe place to turn when a large truck came from behind, honked and followed too closely, according to police.

Authorities say the victim then drove off the road near the intersection of State Route 307 and Dickinson Road while people in the truck yelled at them, then continued down the road.

After contacting a friend to pick them up, the victim said they decided to come back later that day to change the tire, but when they returned later they found the car had been vandalized, explained the police.
