One person has died in a high-speed crash near McFarland

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – One person was killed in a traffic accident Saturday evening.

On May 11, the California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal collision near northbound Sherwood Avenue and Highway 99 just after 8:20 p.m. According to the CHP traffic information page, a vehicle involved in the accident overturned near train tracks and one person was ejected with injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation and the cause of the crash is currently unknown.
