BJD suspends senior general secretary Dr. Prafulla Majhi

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has appointed Dr. Prafulla Majhi suspended from the party for involvement in anti-party activities.

The former Congress leader and three-time MP from Talasara Assembly from Sundargarh district joined the party on December 10, 2021 after he was expelled from the Congress party for unruly behavior and misconduct.

Dr. Prafulla Majhi served as senior general secretary of the Biju Janata Dal.

He won his first by-election in 2006 and was subsequently re-elected in the 2009 and 2014 general elections.
