Trinity River Bridge closed, authorities request alternative routes

HOUSTON (KIAH) – In Liberty County, the Texas Department of Transportation is assessing damage to a bridge over the Trinity River along FM 787. With all of the torrential rains this past week, the integrity of the bridge is called into question. Fearing it could collapse yesterday, the bridge was closed and deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office are urging people to plan alternative trips.
