1 teenager dead, 1 injured after shooting at apartment in northwest Harris County, police said

One teenager is dead and another injured after a shooting at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County Saturday evening.

According to investigators, they arrived at the apartments around 10:30 p.m. and found a 16-year-old dead and a 15-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the teenagers were at home, went outside and several shots were fired. Both teenagers ran back to their respective houses. After they ran back to their homes, the police were called.

There is currently no detailed description of the possible shooters. Some witnesses told officers they saw two men wearing hoodies running away from the scene.

Investigators say they are checking surveillance cameras in the area. They are asking anyone with information to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
