Novak Djokovic has calmly dealt with a bottle-throwing incident and returns to the court in Rome on Sunday.

Djokovic will be at the center of the action on Sunday afternoon at the Foro Italico when he takes on Alejandro Tabilo.

ATP Rome: Novak Djokovic vs Alejandro Tabilo

Alejandro Tabilo is enjoying his best season yet but will be put to the test when he takes on world number one Novak Djokovic for the first time.

Tabilo has yet to beat a top ten player in his ATP Tour career and now faces the best player in the world.

Djokovic was hit by a bottle while signing autographs after his last match but appears to have taken the incident in stride.

ATP Rome: Taylor Fritz against Sebastian Korda

Americans Taylor Fritz and Sebastian Korda are meeting for only the second time in their careers.

Coincidentally, their last meeting was also on clay and took place two years ago in Monte Carlo.

Fritz won this encounter and will be the favorite to repeat the feat after a great run in Madrid.

Fritz put in his best clay court performance last week, reaching the last four before losing to eventual champion Andrey Rublev.

ATP Rome: Ben Shelton vs. Zhizhen Zhang

Ben Shelton will be looking to extend his lead over Zhizhen Zhang in the second meeting between the two players on the ATP Tour.

Shelton won a five-set win when these players met at the Australian Open and should be able to beat his Chinese rival.

Zhang hasn’t lost a set in Rome as he confidently advanced to the third round, but he faces his toughest test here.

Shelton lost just once on clay all season, winning the title in Houston before moving to the European swing section.

ATP Rome: Alexander Zverev against Luciano Darderi

World number five Alexander Zverev will be aiming to dash Argentinian Luciano Darderi’s hopes in Rome.

This will be the first meeting of these players on the ATP Tour.

The Argentine fought through two tough encounters that amounted to almost five hours on the pitch.

Meanwhile, Zverev easily beat Aleksandar Vukic in his opening match in a short space of time.

WTA Rome: Sara Sorribes Tormo vs. Jelena Ostapenko

Jelena Ostapenko may be ahead of Sara Sorribes Tormo in the WTA rankings, but she has lost both head-to-head duels.

Ostapenko, a former French Open champion, has no problems playing on clay, but her Spanish opponent has had her number lately.

With her good form, Ostapenko looks well-placed to come to the top of the rivalry.

Both players reached the round of 16 in Madrid and this will be a great clash between different styles.

WTA Rome: Victoria Azarenka vs. Mayar Sherif

Egyptian number one Mayar Sherif will face Victoria Azarenka for the first time in her career in Rome on Sunday afternoon.

Sherif upset Jasmine Paolini in the previous round but will have his hands full eliminating another seed.

Azarenka survived a difficult start against Magda Linette, but seemed close to her best at times in this match.

Sherif will have to dig deep to find enough quality to beat a former Grand Slam winner and world number one.

WTA Rome: Danielle Rose Collins vs. Caroline Garcia

Danielle Collins against Caroline Garcia is one of the games of the day in Rome.

It will be the fifth time these players have met head-to-head, with Collins boasting a dominant 4-0 record.

Garcia will be looking to halt her decline in the rankings and this match could be a turning point for her in that journey.

Collins has had an incredible season so far as she prepares to exit the tour and she won’t want to go out cheaply.

WTA Rome: Elina Svitolina vs Anna Kalinskaya

Elina Svitolina will face Anna Kalinskaya for the first time in a meeting between the seeded players in the round of 32.

Both players have come through their opening games reasonably well, but something has to give in the hunt for a place in the last 16.

Both had limited roles on the clay court and struggled for form.

However, this game offers a chance to build some momentum heading into the French Open.
