The Swat fans didn’t give up hope and apparently their continued support paid off. CBS confirmed the surprisingly good news that SWAT has been renewed for an eighth season. Viewers can expect the drama to continue at least through the 2024-2025 primetime season.

“Here at CBS, we always stay fluid and love a good dramatic twist, especially when it leads to an eighth season of SWAT!” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “The show continues to resonate with viewers thanks to our talented cast led by Shemar Moore and our amazing writers and producers who ensure the show remains relevant and action-packed.” We are thrilled to renew it again , and are incredibly grateful to our partners Sony, CBS Studios and Shemar for such good cooperation…
