Scores of Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured in the early hours of Sunday as Israeli warplanes carried out continuous airstrikes in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

In the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, nine civilians, including many children, were killed and others injured in an airstrike on a residential building. This incident occurred in the Arraiba area, northwest of Rafah, and targeted the Hashash family residence.

In addition, Israeli forces launched intensive airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Israeli drones also targeted ambulances near a UNRWA clinic in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza.

In another incident, Israeli Apache helicopters opened fire on the southern edge of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeast Gaza City, killing two people and wounding five. The injured were taken to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City.

Additional airstrikes hit residential areas near the Hassan al-Banna Mosque in Al-Zaytoun district, leaving one dead and six injured. The victims were taken to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.

During Israeli attacks, Dr. Mohammed Nemer Qazaat and his son, Dr. Yousef Qazaat, both doctors, died after an airstrike in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

The two Palestinian doctors were originally from the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City and had moved to Deir al-Balah in search of safety. Their bodies were later transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Genocide in the Gaza Strip

Israel is currently on trial at the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians and has been waging a devastating war against Gaza since October 7th.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health The ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, which began on October 7, has left 34,971 Palestinians dead and 78,641 injured.

In addition, at least 7,000 people are missing, believed to be lying dead under the rubble of their homes across the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say the majority of those killed and wounded were women and children.

The Israeli war has led to acute famine, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the deaths of many Palestinians, especially children.

Israeli aggression has also led to the forcible displacement of nearly two million people across the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of those displaced forced into the densely populated southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – now Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the Nakba 1948.

Israel says 1,200 soldiers and civilians were killed during the Al-Aqsa flood operation on October 7. Israeli media published reports that many Israelis were killed by friendly fire that day.
