Florida’s sheriff accused Biden’s administration of “victimizing” Americans after an illegal immigrant was charged with sexually assaulting a child

A Florida sheriff accused the Biden administration of “harassing” Americans after an illegal immigrant was charged with sexually assaulting a child.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old Marvin Dionel Perez Lopez was reportedly arrested on charges of kidnapping for the purpose of sexually assaulting a minor, sexual assault of a victim under the age of 12, and resisting an officer without violence. He was being held without bail in the Palm Beach County Jail.

The illegal immigrant is accused of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl on the streets of Lake Worth, Florida. Lopez allegedly grabbed the young girl by the hand and forced her into his van. He is then accused of sexually abusing the minor.

Lopez is reportedly a Guatemalan citizen who entered the United States illegally in January. He was reportedly arrested by border police but then released into the country with a court date of 2027.

The girl’s mother reportedly realized she had been gone for some time and went looking for her. She spotted the van not far from the house where she and Lopez both lived. The worried mother discovered her daughter in the van with the alleged sex offender. She allegedly began banging on the van door and screaming.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Lopez ran away after the altercation with the mother. The mother also reportedly visited Lopez’s home. She later called the police after he allegedly asked for forgiveness.

When officers allegedly attempted to question Lopez, he fled the scene by escaping out the window of his apartment and running into an alley. He was eventually arrested.

Lopez reportedly forced himself sexually on the girl and raped her after she rejected his advances.

Palm Beach County Victim Services Director Nicole Bishop said, “Sexual assault is far more common in our community than we would like to believe. Rape by strangers is far less common than rape by acquaintances. So most of the time it’s someone the person knows.”

“Here is a Guatemalan who entered the country illegally, was stopped by the released border crossers and made his way to South Florida. And now he is committing a crime in which he held an 11-year-old girl against her will and sexually abused her,” said Palm Beach County Sheriff – Ric Bradshaw.

“We caught him. He confessed to the crime. So he’ll be charged with a capital crime before he even remotely believes he’ll be deported. He will spend time here first,” Bradshaw continued. “The federal government is harassing the people who live in this country by letting these people come here.”
