KSP investigates vehicle collision and shooting in Adair Co.

ADAIR CO., Ky. (WKYT) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a vehicle collision and shooting just before 8 a.m. Saturday (local time).

According to a statement from KSP, 50-year-old Gregory Willis and 46-year-old Mark Hatcher, both of Columbia, were involved in a collision on KY-704.

KSP states that after the collision, Willis fired a firearm that struck Hatcher.

William Feese, 23, of Columbia, was a passenger in Hatcher’s vehicle and was injured in the collision.

Both Hatcher and Feese were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

KSP says Willis fled the scene before police arrived.

Troopers located Willis on Paul Frankum Road. in Adair Co, just before 2pm on Saturday.

Willis is now charged with first-degree assault and is being held at the Adair Co. Detention Center.
