Milwaukee man arrested after chase that started in Glendale and ended in Milwaukee

A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after a chase that began in Glendale and ended in Milwaukee on May 11, according to the Glendale Police Department. Police said an officer attempted to stop a vehicle displaying a stolen license plate around 4:45 p.m. near Port Washington Road and Silver Spring Drive in Glendale. The vehicle was not stolen. The vehicle then fled westbound on Silver Spring and then southbound on Green Bay Avenue. The fleeing vehicle then turned into oncoming traffic to avoid traffic jams near Green Bay Avenue and Hampton Avenue. Two other vehicles were struck when the fleeing vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic. The people in the two vehicles that were hit suffered minor injuries and did not need to be taken to the hospital. The driver of the fleeing vehicle fled on foot and was arrested shortly afterwards, according to police. There was no one else in the fleeing vehicle. Charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and fleeing an officer.
