Dorset man killed in Austinburg Township crash | News

AUSTINBURG – A Dorset man died after sustaining injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Windsor-Mechanicsville Road Friday evening, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The news release states that Kimberly Davis, 47, of Geneva, was driving south on Windsor-Mechanicsville Road when a motorcycle driven by Garner M. Cole, 33, of Dorset, was driving northbound, to the left drove from the center and hit Davis’ vehicle head-on.

“The motorcyclist was ejected and was not wearing a helmet,” the release said.

According to the OHP, Cole was pronounced dead at the scene and Davis did not appear to have suffered any injuries.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in the accident. The accident remains under investigation and emergency personnel from the Austinburg Fire Department provided assistance at the scene.
