Whitney Houston hits posthumous milestone – for the second time in her career

Whitney Houston has been missing for more than a decade, but her music has not faded from the public consciousness. Chances are, the beloved singer’s successes will never completely disappear, as evidenced by her continued presence on many charts.

This week, the powerful singer I will always love you – The best of the compilation reaches a special stage. The set has now been in the UK album chart for 150 weeks. This isn’t necessarily a very rare number for a collection, but it is a number that Houston has only seen once in his career.

Another of Houston’s compilations of her most successful singles is still her longest-running track in the UK. The ultimate collection spent 386 weeks on the ranking of the most consumed feature films and EPs in this country.

The ultimate collection was released in 2007, while Houston was still alive. I will Always Love You, however, dropped less than a year after his death. It seems that in the decade since, the latter title has become the most popular and consumed compilation, as it regularly appears on the charts, while others do not.

This week, I will Always Love You is currently on the rise in the UK. The compilation goes from No. 59 to No. 53 in the ranking. In the past, he has climbed as high as 13th.

I will Always Love You is one of four Houston projects that have spent triple-digit weeks on the UK Albums Chart. Behind the two compilations mentioned above, his first two albums themselves also managed to stand out. Her self-titled debut album, which made her a global star, racked up 119 weeks somewhere in the UK Albums Chart. Its follow-up, which was simply named Whitneyis just above that threshold, having earned 102 stays on the roster.
