Man arrested after riding away from police on motorcycle | News

JANESVILLE, Wis. – A South Beloit, Illinois man was arrested last night after fleeing from Janesville Police Department officers.

Officers noticed 24-year-old Darmarkus Jarvis speeding down East Court Street on a motorcycle, but Jarvis sped away when he spotted them. The motorcycle was later found at Kwik Trip on East Milwaukee Street, along with Jarvis, who showed signs of impairment and was arrested for driving while intoxicated (OWI).

A Department of Transportation driver’s license check revealed that Jarvis had three previous OWI convictions and his driver’s license was revoked.

Jarvis was also charged with Reckless Endangering Safety 2nd Degree and Operating While Revoked.

Blood draw results are pending and Jarvis was held in the Rock County Jail.
