Three children were killed in an apparent murder-suicide after their mother let her ex-husband take her out to dinner, police said

TUCKER, Ga. (WANF/Gray News) – Authorities in Georgia say three children were killed in a murder-suicide after their mother agreed to let her ex-husband take them out to dinner.

Gwinnett County police said 13-year-old Arianny Rodriguez, 11-year-old Chadal Rodriguez and 9-year-old Carlos Rodriguez were found dead.

According to police, the man identified as 56-year-old Jose Plasencia is the suspect in the shooting.

WANF reported that Plasencia was the mother’s ex-husband.

He was also the biological father of the woman’s six-year-old child, who had to be taken to hospital after falling from a bicycle.

Plasencia allegedly showed up and became aggressive, but eventually offered to get something to eat with the other three children.

Authorities said hours later they spotted the parked car. That’s when the police found the four bodies in the car.

According to a GoFundMe page, the children’s mother said she was devastated and her heart was in pieces.

“My world was my children and I was mother and father to them so that they never lacked for anything,” she said.

According to the fundraising page, she is asking for help with the funerals of her “little angels.”
