Kia Stonic bookings suspended in Pakistan after sharp price drop

The Pakistan automobile market was in dire straits as sales declined, people expected lower prices and Lucky Motor Corporation stunned everyone with a stunning discount of around 24 percent on KIA’s Stonic.

The South Korean automaker stopped bookings for Stonic after a significant price cut of Rs 15.

The move was announced as customers rushed to local showrooms to book their vehicles. In a recent announcement, Lucky Motors said bookings for Stonic have been temporarily suspended.

Bookings for the Kia Stonic have been suspended due to a high volume of bookings, the company has met its delivery commitment for this particular model by September 2024.

A statement from the carmaker said: “All bookings for deliveries up to September will be accepted after an installment payment of Rs 235 crore and further orders will commence in October, depending on the market response and the company’s inventory levels, which will be communicated separately.” .”

“For the benefit of our valued customers, we would like to emphasize that we will be providing a ‘price lock’ for orders booked with full/partial payment until delivery in September,” the statement said.

Furthermore, it was noted that the new price is subject to the agreement that any change in customs duties, taxes and levies etc. imposed by the Federal/Provincial Government (the Government) or any additional duties, taxes and levies etc. imposed by the Government liability applicable at the time of delivery of the vehicle shall be borne by the customer and may be reimbursed by LMC prior to delivery of the vehicle from the customer.
