Rape: Man arrested for raping a minor in Anandapur | Kolkata News

Kolkata: A 45-year-old man was arrested in Anandapur for allegedly raping a minor girl multiple times. The accused was arrested and a case was registered under Section 6 of the Pocso Act and rape. The incident was reported on Friday evening. “We arrested the accused based on the complaint of the girl’s mother,” said DC (East) Arish Bilal. “Under the pretext of finding a job, violent rapes occurred repeatedly over a long period of time. “The atrocities took place at the defendant’s residence,” he said. The police have recorded the complainant’s statement and are checking whether the girl can record her statement before the judge. tnn
