Several police officers were shot in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Multiple police officers were shot in Atlanta’s Capitol View neighborhood Saturday night, the department confirmed to 11Alive.

Atlanta police said officers responded to a shots fired call at 1430 Desoto Ave. SW responded when they were shot. Police said several officers were injured but did not provide details on the number.

The officers were taken to Grady Hospital, where they were described as “alert, conscious and breathing.”
