One shot was fired and one person was injured in a carjacking in Dallas, Texas, according to police

DALLAS – One person was shot and injured in a carjacking in Dallas early Saturday, according to police.

According to police, armed suspects approached a vehicle in the 8400 block of Willoughby Boulevard just before 1 a.m. The driver then pointed a gun at a suspect and attempted to flee, but one of the suspects shot the driver in the leg, according to police.

The suspects then stole the vehicle, police said.

According to police, the driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Further details were not immediately available and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
