Popular entertainment reporter Sam Rubin has died at the age of 64

Popular KTLA Entertainment reporter Sam Rubin has died aged 64 after reportedly suffering a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles on Friday (May 10). TMZ Reports.

The fatal incident reportedly occurred after Rubin filmed his regular Hollywood news segment for KTLA‘s morning show, Morning News, earlier in the day. The news channel confirmed the veteran reporter’s death in a statement posted on its X account on Friday.

“KTLA 5 is deeply saddened to report the death of Sam Rubin. Sam was a giant in the local news industry and entertainment world and was a fixture on Los Angeles morning television for decades. His laughter, charm and caring personality touched everyone who knew. “Sam was a loving husband and father: the roles he valued most are with Sam’s family during this difficult time,” KTLA wrote

Rubin, a San Diego native who graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, joined the news network in 1991 and has been a constant presence on red carpets throughout his tenure as anchor KTLA‘S Live from the Oscars Segment and at the same time contributes to segments for the British Broadcasting Corporation‘s television and radio stations as well Channel 9 in Australia. The veteran reporter has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the National Hispanic Media Coalition’s annual Impact Award for outstanding integrity in broadcast journalism, as well as the Golden Mic Lifetime Achievement Award from the Southern California Broadcasters Association and being named Best Entertainment Reporter by the Los Angeles Press Club.
