Chiefs fans weigh in on report of police investigation into receiver Rashee Rice

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice is reportedly the subject of a Dallas police investigation stemming from an incident early Monday morning that left a photographer injured at a nightclub.

That came about five weeks after Rice crashed a Lamborghini Urus, causing a multi-vehicle collision on a Dallas highway. According to police, Rice was driving 119 miles per hour before the accident.

For some Chiefs fans, the latest story about Rice was disappointing, to say the least. Here’s a snippet of what Chiefs Kingdom said on X.

Rashee Rice 2023 NFL Draft Scouting Report

This latest comment about Rice was made by at least one team ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs selected Rice in the second round and he emerged as the team’s best wide receiver in the playoffs. But longtime Packers reporter Bob McGinn noted that an NFL team had expressed concern about Rice before this draft.

In his 2023 NFL Draft Series, McGinn shared the following about Rice under the headline “SCOUTS’ ALPHA.”

“Rashee Rice, WR, Southern Methodist: Has the size (6-0½, 205), speed (4.42), athletic ability (41-inch vertical jump) and power (233 receptions, 25 touchdowns) to to be a good draft choice. McGinn wrote on GoLongTD.com. “However, at least one team removed him from their draft board due to behavioral issues. “He’s talented, but he’s not a good guy,” said one hiring manager.”

This 2023 report was shared on social media following the story about Rice on Tuesday.
