Albemarle police are searching for the remains of a 17-year-old girl

STANLY CO. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Albemarle Police, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) and the National Center for Exploited/Missing Children, are searching for the remains of Baylee Carver.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on May 10, Albemarle Police responded to the 2900 block of Floral Drive after receiving a 911 call from a resident.


Following an investigation by police and the NCSBI, it was determined that 17-year-old Baylee Carver is presumed deceased.

Joshua Biles, 20, was arrested and charged with obstruction and concealing death. Biles is currently in custody at the Stanly County Jail.
