A man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a five-year-old boy in Dharavi in ​​central Mumbai, a police official said on Friday.

On May 4, there was a power outage in the area and the 20-year-old accused took advantage of it to call the boy to his home and sexually abuse him, the Dharavi police station official said.

“The boy told his parents about the incident two days later, following which a case was registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act. The man was arrested on Thursday evening,” the official said.
