Hot Springs police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before 2 p.m. Saturday “in the area of ​​the Transportation Depot,” in which a male victim was shot and transported to a local hospital by LifeNet, said HSPD Officer 1st Class Omar Cervantes briefly told The Sentinel-Record after 2:30 p.m

Officers searched the area for two male suspects who were reportedly involved in “locating them,” he said.

He didn’t know exactly where the shooting took place and didn’t have any further descriptions of the suspects.

Multiple officers were on scene at the depot searching along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail, including across Grand Avenue and along Valley Street, where a National Park Service K-9 unit was deployed to assist in the search.
