Rudy Moreno — the longtime comedian who played a big role in the Latino community — has died… TMZ has confirmed.

The comedy veteran died after a stay in an intensive care unit in Los Angeles as his agent Mark Scroggs confirmed. He did not give a cause of death.

As we reported…he ended up in the intensive care unit while he battled pneumonia and received dialysis treatment – and his wife, ArleneShe couldn’t find him and claimed the hospital told her he wasn’t in the system.

Rudy was a giant in the LA comedy scene…he appeared on Lopez Tonight back in the day and was in touch with comedians like that Gabriel Iglesias, Sinbad, Craig Robinson and many more.

Other Hollywood heavyweights – like Ken Jeong And Chris Simpson – posted about Rudy and lovingly shared stories about how the star helped them break into the comedy scene.



In addition to his decades of stand-up performances, RM has also worked as an actor over the years… appearing in hit shows such as “Dave”, “Mom”, “George Lopez”, “The Shield”, “Everybody Loves Raymond” and others on more.

He is survived by his wife Arlene and his children.

Rudy was 66.
