ROSEBURG POLICE PRISONMAN FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT – KQEN News Radio

Roseburg police arrested a man for an alleged assault incident Friday evening.

According to an RPD report, officers responded to a disturbance between a 38-year-old man and a victim in the 1600 block of Southeast Cobb Street just after 7:40 p.m. During the disturbance, the suspect reportedly threw a shovel, which hit the victim in the face and left a large dent.

The man was charged with second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. He was held without bail. The victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.
