World Wrestling Federation suspends Bajrang Punia – The Indian Panorama

World Wrestling Federation UWW has suspended Bajrang Punia until the end of this year after NADA decided to provisionally suspend him for refusing to submit to a drug test. However, in a surprise decision, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) fined him nearly Rs 900,000 for his training abroad despite knowing full well about NADA’s order. Bajrang was suspended by NADA on April 23 after he was served with a notice on April 18 that his whereabouts were untraceable. Bajrang said he received no notice of his suspension from the UWW, but the world body mentions that he is suspended. “Suspended until December 31, 2024 for the following reason,” the update on Bajrang’s profile reads. “Provisionally suspended from NADO IND due to alleged ADRV (Anti-Doping Rule Violation),” was given as the reason.
