20-year-old man becomes third person arrested in connection with deadly Elliott stabbing attack – WPXI

PITTSBURGH — A third person has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Elliott.

Pittsburgh police said 20-year-old Logan Smetanka was arrested in Greensburg and taken to the Westmoreland County Jail. He will ultimately be extradited to Allegheny County.

Police say he faces murder and criminal conspiracy charges in the March stabbing death of 37-year-old Marc Kovach.

According to police, there are currently no outstanding suspects in this case.

Two other people were arrested in connection with Kovach’s death: Dominic Johnson, 19, was arrested at the scene and charged the next day with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence. Carlena Wells, 18, was arrested Thursday in Uptown and is charged with felony murder and criminal conspiracy.
