One was killed in 10 highway shootings

SAN DIMAS (CNS) – A 19-year-old man was killed in a car-to-car shooting on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway near San Dimas on Saturday.

California Highway Patrol officers were called about 2:16 a.m. to the eastbound freeway and the Via Verde exit, where they found a white Chevy Camaro on the right shoulder of the freeway, CHP Officer Sean Lough said.

CHP officers attempted to perform life-saving measures on the man before Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived, who pronounced the victim dead at the scene, KABC7 reported. His name was not published

Video footage from the scene shows what appeared to be a bullet hole on the right side of the Camaro’s windshield.

No suspect or vehicle information was available.

The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed all lanes of the eastbound highway at the Via Verde exit for several hours while the shooting was investigated.
