Police: Otsego man dead after knife attack

OTSEGO, Mich. – An Otsego man died after a fatal knife attack Friday evening.

At approximately 5:40 p.m., Allegan County Dispatch received a call from a woman needing emergency assistance at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Garfield Street.

Otsego police and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene.

When they arrived, they said they found a 24-year-old woman bleeding on the living room floor with a 51-year-old man.

Police said they attempted life-saving measures on the man, who appeared to have been stabbed, but he died from his injuries.

The Michigan State Police Crime Scene Response Team also arrived on scene to assist with evidence collection.
