Police: Suspect nabbed in earlier spying incident in same area

At 2:03 a.m. May 6, several people were in their apartment in the 900 block of 17th Street South when they recognized a man outside their home, Arlington police said.

The residents called the police and reported that the person was the same person who was involved in the spying incident at the house on March 27.

Responding officers searched the area and located a person matching the suspect’s description nearby.

The suspect – 40-year-old Christopher Sails of no fixed address – was arrested and charged with espionage in connection with the March 27 incident. He was held without bond.
