“Diddy” is seeking dismissal of the sexual assault lawsuit against Jane Doe, claiming the statute of limitations has expired

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants Jane Doe’s sexual assault case dismissed. According to TMZ, the rapper claimed that Doe’s statute of limitations had expired when he filed a motion to dismiss the complaint without prejudice.

He pointed out that aside from the alleged assault, the lawsuit is missing some crucial information. “The scant amendments to the original complaint cannot remedy the falsehoods and irremediable deficiencies of the new brief. “As with the original complaint, it does not state a viable claim and must be dismissed,” Combs’ filing reads, according to TMZ.

“Plaintiff cannot claim what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred, but claims to miraculously accurately remember the most sensitive details. Accordingly, this case should now be dismissed with prejudice to protect the Combs defendants from further reputational damage and before further waste of party and judicial resources.”

Doe filed her lawsuit in December 2023. In it, she claimed he drugged, repeatedly raped and sex-trafficked her in 2003, when she was 17.

What happened to Jane Doe?

Doe claims that she met Harve Pierre, the former president of Combs’ record label Bad Boy Entertainment, at a nightclub in Detroit. Pierre reportedly told her that Combs would like to meet her and that she was “hot.” Pierre then allegedly called Combs and connected Doe with the producer, who advised her to board a plane to New York City alongside Pierre.

She agreed, but claimed she was forced to have oral sex with Pierre, who had used crack cocaine, before she left. “While at the studio, Ms. Doe was raped by Mr. Combs, the third assailant, and Mr. Pierre, in that order,” the lawsuit states. Doe claimed that Combs took off her pants and forced himself on her while she was “hanging” over a sink.

Doe then claims the third assailant raped Ms. Doe while she told him to stop. Pierre then allegedly raped Doe and forced her to perform oral sex. Doe claimed she “fell into the fetal position” and her “vagina was in pain.”

She said she was barely able to stand after the alleged gang rape and was helped into a car that took her back to the airport. She emphasized that she has “limited” memories of returning to Michigan. Doe’s claim included several images “taken in the studio that night that left no doubt that Ms. Doe was with Mr. Combs in Mr. Combs’ New York studio the night she was raped.”

Combs is being sued by three other women and a man over similar allegations, all of which he has flatly denied. The rapper is also the subject of a federal sex trafficking investigation; Homeland Security raided his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami in March. However, he was not accused of any crime.
