Couple attacked by teenagers in Toronto: police

A man was taken to hospital after police said he was stabbed in a random attack by a group of teenagers in Toronto Friday night.

According to police, a man and a woman were on Van Dusen Boulevard west of Royal York Road in Etobicoke when they were approached by a “group of teenagers” and became involved in an argument just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.

The man, in his early 30s, was stabbed during the interaction and was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition, police said. The woman, also in her 30s, was also reportedly attacked and suffered minor injuries.

A teenager was arrested and subsequently released. The police announced this later. No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
