Wallingford man shot at minor who he suspected damaged his vehicle: Police – NBC Connecticut

A Wallingford man was arrested after police said he shot a minor last week who he suspected had damaged his vehicle.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Parker Farms Road around 10:30 p.m. last Saturday and filed a report of criminal harassment.

Police said they met with 41-year-old Donald Lubanda, who reported that a minor shot a pellet gun out the back window of one of his vehicles and slashed one of his tires.

Shortly thereafter, officers said they learned of a fight elsewhere in the city between Lubanda and the minor allegedly involved in the incident and responded quickly to de-escalate the situation.

According to authorities, Lubanda previously shot at the minor’s vehicle, hitting the vehicle five times.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Lubanda and he turned himself in on Friday. He is accused, among other things, of attempted bodily harm, unauthorized use of firearms and intentional endangerment.

Lubanda was released on $150,000 bail and is due in court on May 23.

The investigation into the original incident on Parker Farms Road is ongoing.
