Closures of the Route 3 ramp are planned this week

Trenton, NJ – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced that roadway and ramp closures will take place next week in Secaucus, Hudson County. The closures are necessary for median reconstruction and guardrail repair along westbound Route 3.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 13, until 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, the left lane of Route 3 westbound will be closed from the ramp at Route 495 westbound. Additionally, the ramp from Route 3 westbound Local to Route 3 westbound Mainline near Mill Creek Drive will be closed, along with the closure of the right shoulder on Route 3 westbound Mainline. Motorists are advised to follow detour instructions during this time.

The $6.3 million maintenance contract includes repair of guide rails and mufflers at multiple locations in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey.

Due to possible weather-related factors, the timing of work may vary, underscoring the importance for motorists to stay informed through NJDOT’s traffic information platforms.
