Iowa man arrested in shooting that left woman dead

An Iowa man has been arrested on first-degree murder charges stemming from a shooting Friday night. According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety, a 911 call came into the Monona County Communications Center just before 6 p.m. Officers arrived at the 1900 block of Granite Street in Onawa and found Stacey Allen, 47, dead. At the scene, officers took 48-year-old Jamie Allen into custody where he was transported to the Monona County Jail. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Monona County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
