54-year-old Lexington man dies from injuries sustained in a crash on Thursday

A Lexington man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash Thursday in Fayette County

The two-vehicle accident occurred at Winchester Road and Bahama Road.

According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, 54-year-old Billy Joe Williamson Jr. of Lexington died from his injuries shortly before 1:30 a.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

The cause of death is officially classified as multiple blunt force injuries.

The death is being investigated as an accident.
