2 hospitalized after shooting, car crash in Midtown Atlanta, police say – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – Atlanta police closed a Midtown intersection early Saturday morning in response to a car crash and shooting in Midtown.

According to police, two people were shot at the intersection of Peachtree Street NE and Beverly Road NE.

At the crime scene was a Channel 2 Action News photographer saw that there were also two cars involved in an accident and several officers were on site to investigate.

According to police, both shooting victims were taken to the hospital.

APD says the shooting remains under investigation. Preliminary information from officers revealed that one of the people who was shot crashed into a second vehicle after being shot.

According to APD, he was taken to Piedmont Hospital with an abrasion to his head. None of the people shot in the incident have been identified and police are still working to find out more about the incident.
