One person has died in a two-vehicle crash in Jones County

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A two-vehicle crash in Jones County left one person dead.

The accident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Friday, May 10, on Highway 29 near Little Sawmill Road. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a sedan and a pickup truck involved in the accident. According to officials, one person was ejected.

One victim died on site. Officials said one person sustained minor injuries and another sustained moderate injuries.

The two injured victims were taken to a local hospital.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP).
