Pedestrian accident in Manchester, Connecticut is under investigation

The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.

MANCHESTER, Conn. – An elderly pedestrian is in the hospital after being hit by a car Friday evening, according to Manchester police.

Officers were called to Pleasant Valley Road near Buckland Street around 9 p.m. Friday for a report of an accident.

Responding officers found a 74-year-old pedestrian with serious, life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian was hit by a car in the westbound lane, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition, police said.

The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.
