Today’s forecast:

Today will be a mostly pleasant day with partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 80s. A slight chance for a few showers just south of I-10 later tonight. We start the morning in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Mother’s Day Sunday:

Sunday has the potential to be dangerous. We have a risk of flooding and severe weather for Mother’s Day. I know many of us plan to celebrate our moms. Make sure you can receive warnings if necessary. It looks like we have two episodes of heavy rain. One moves in in the morning and the second in the afternoon and evening. Rainfall totals range from 1″-5″. We are facing a risk of flooding as well as a serious weather threat from large hail.

Sunday 8:30 a.m.:

Tracking rain chances in the Houston area with more severe weather in the San Antonio area.

Sunday 1 p.m.:

We’re still tracking the rain from San Antonio to Houston, but the patterns are looking nicer than the morning patterns, especially in San Antonio.

Sunday 4 p.m.:

The threat of severe weather is increasing in areas north of I-10, particularly near Brenham, Huntsville and Liberty.

Sunday 7:30 p.m.:

Monitoring severe weather risks near I-10 in the Columbus area and areas to the north like Brenham and other areas just north of Conroe.

10-day forecast:

We have another flood threat on Monday. Temperatures are warm Tuesday and Wednesday, with more storms possible Thursday.
