OIL CITY MAN AQUICTED ON SEXUAL ASSOCIATION allegation

In a non-jury trial earlier this week, an Oil City man was acquitted of all charges related to the sexual assault of a woman.

In April 2023, Blairsville District Police initially charged 27-year-old Zechariah Lemke with rape, sexual assault and other crimes stemming from an incident in February of that year after a woman claimed he had sexually assaulted her after the two met attacked in Blairsville after a conversation on social media. Two days after the warrant was issued, Lemke was arrested during a traffic stop on the PA Turnpike.

During the non-jury trial, Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco was presented with several pieces of social media evidence and found Lemke not guilty on all six charges against him.
