Man charged with crossing small boat

A man living in Lancashire has been charged with organizing small boat crossings across the English Channel.

The Iranian national was arrested by officers in Preston on Sunday and charged with two counts of aiding and abetting illegal immigration.

The 34-year-old, of Stefano Road, will appear before city magistrates later.

The charges relate to two small boat crossings from France to Britain in November and December 2023, the National Crime Agency said.
