Atlanta Beltline Lantern Festival | Creative stroll

CRITICISM’S PICK: Led by designer Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, this colorful parade returns in its fourteenth year for a mile-long stroll along the Westside Trail. Five marching bands will accompany the Krewe: Atlanta Drum Academy, Black Sheep Ensemble, Seed & Feed Marching Abominables, Atlanta Freedom Band and the Wasted Potential Brass Band, as well as GRAMMY® winner Kebbi Williams and his band The Wolfpack. The public is invited to bring lanterns and join the parade (and attend the after-party at Lee + White). Official guidelines state that all participants must have a lantern to participate in the parade; no flying lanterns, bicycles or pets are allowed on the course; and pedestrian traffic on the trail during the parade should flow in the same northwest direction. —Kevin C. Madigan
