Oklahoma Department of Corrections deputy director arrested

LEXINGTON, Okla. (KFOR) – On Friday, Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) officials confirmed that Lexington Assessment and Reception Center Assistant Director Tasha Parker was arrested for introducing contraband into a correctional facility.

According to the DOC, Parker was terminated from her position.


ODOC officials released the following statement following the firing and arrest of Deputy Director Tasha Parker:

“ODOC diligently removes bad actors who threaten public safety. Recently updated security measures using innovative technology help us protect our inmates and staff. Our intelligence unit actively works to stop illegal activity in and around our facilities, including when it involves an employee.”

Director Steven Harpe says, “The overwhelming majority of ODOC employees are committed to our mission and vision. However, we will continue to hold accountable those who fail to protect the safety of Oklahomans by not following our policies or state laws,” said Director Steven Harpe

Parker was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.
