PSU is asking everyone on campus to shelter in place

PSU told KGW that the situation is “rapidly evolving” and that the university’s Campus Public Safety Office is responding to the South Park Blocks area with assistance from the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

The university posted on social media at 9:38 p.m. that there had been an “incident on campus” and asked people to avoid the area and that updates would be sent via PSU Alert.

PSU ALERT: Incident on campus. Avoid the area. If you are on campus, provide accommodation. Updates will be sent via PSU Alert when available.
