Two members of the Waterford Police Department have been placed on administrative leave

According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, two members of the City of Waterford Police Department have been placed on administrative leave. One of them was the active interim boss. Waterford City’s original police chief retired in December last year. The sheriff’s office said it could not say why both members were placed on administrative leave. The sheriff’s office has assigned a lieutenant supervisor to oversee remaining personnel and police operations during the investigation. In a post on Facebook, Chairwoman Teri Jendusa-Nicolai confirmed that police personnel have been placed on administrative leave “We have agreed to support our remaining staff to ensure the service runs smoothly and public safety is not jeopardized,” Jendusa said -Nicolai on Facebook. “I would like to thank the Sheriff’s Department for their guidance and assistance.”
