Man found dead following riots on Indy’s southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD is investigating after officers found a man dead at an apartment complex in southwest Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 7100 block of Vega Way near Kentucky Avenue for reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located a man who was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the incident began as a verbal argument before escalating into a physical altercation.

One person was arrested for their alleged involvement in the unrest. There is no danger to the area.
